C-Bona Closed Suction System is used with patients who are mechanically ventilated and have an endotracheal or tracheostomy tube in place. The advantage of closed method of suctioning is that it doesn’t require disconnecting the ventilator or oxygen source from the artificial airway when patient needs to be suctioned, which reduces the risks of infection and oxygen desaturation.
